EasyBC app for iPhone and iPad

EasyBC is an iPhone application able to scan business cards in order to create Address Book contacts.

EasyBC connects to a text recognition server (OCR server), so an Internet connection on the iPhone is required. We guarantee a secure connection to the server: all your data is encrypted on the way from client to server and back. Of course, the data is immediately and automatically deleted after having been processed on the server. The use of a dedicated OCR server, as compared to direct text recognition on the iPhone itself, is faster, more reliable and offers better categorization of text found on business cards. EasyBC is dedicated to recognize business cards only.

Features:

- Automatic detection of the following fields: phone number, fax number, mobile number, street, ZIP, city.
- Shake gesture is used to cancel recognized fields.
- Operates well even in bad lighting conditions, because the OCR server uses an innovative image preprocessing method.
- The Application connects to our dedicated OCR server. The use of a dedicated OCR server as compared to direct text recognition on the iPhone itself is faster, more reliable and offers better categorization of text found in a business card.
- We guarantee a secure communication with the server. Any of your data on the server is immediately and automatically deleted after having been processed on the server.

Requirements:
In order to ensure optimal text recognition in EasyBC, either an iPhone 3GS with a self-focusing camera or an iPhone 3G with a Griffin Clarifi case are required.
